College of Agriculture, Vellayani, established in 1955, is one of the main agricultural colleges of Kerala. Located on the banks of Vellayani Lake, Trivandrum, the Agriculture College is housed in the palace building which belongs to the royal family of erstwhile Travancore. Operating under the faculty of agriculture of the Kerala Agricultural University, College of Agriculture Vellayani is one of the leading Agricultural Institution in India and functions as the major institution for agricultural research and education in the Southern States of Kerala.
Vellayani Agriculture College offers undergraduate programs, post graduate programs, leading to M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in the field of agriculture. The well maintained College farm provides field facilities for the B.Sc (Agriculture.) course and for conducting researches of M.Sc. (Agriculture) and Ph.D. students.
